How Often Should I Publish Blog Posts to See Results?

We often receive these emails from potential clients:

“Hey Rank Lyx,

I want to publish 5-7 articles per week. Is it a good idea, and can you handle it?

Let me know your capacity.

Thanks!”

Our answer is always NO.

Why, you may ask? Are you supposed to publish many articles per week to see results?

Allow us to clarify this in this article.

How Often Should Blog Posts Be Published to See Results?

For SaaS companies with growing or established blogs, we recommend publishing 2-4 posts weekly.

This will allow you to maintain momentum, expand your content library, and consistently reach your target audience.

In these 2-4 articles, you’ll explore various topics, target many keywords, and address specific pain points or questions your audience may have. Moreover, you will keep your brand top-of-mind and drive steady traffic to your website.

Quality and Quantity: Which is Better for More Traffic?

At Rank Lyx, we believe in quality over quantity. We love to see our articles challenging the top-ranking posts or ranking first on Google.

If you want to publish many articles per week just for quantity, we are not the right partners for you.

Let me give you an example.

Imagine you want to publish many articles per week because an article or a video recommends doing so. You contact us with this message:

“Hey Piaff,

I want to publish 30 articles per month (1 per day), each 1000-2000 words. We will measure success by the number of leads we drive per month through these articles.

Can you do it?”

Our answer is NO.

Why? For two reasons:

  1. We can indeed write 30 low-quality articles per month. Some articles may rank because they target super-long keywords without much competition. However, many will not rank because the quality is poor and the competition is high.
  1. Your goal doesn’t favor us. We are supposed to write 30 low-quality articles per month. These posts will not rank and drive traffic that will then become leads. So, you will likely end with zero leads at the end of the 30 days.

We are creating a bad reputation by taking your money and not giving results.

We have your interest in our minds every step of the way (throughout the project). We cannot partner with you if you prefer quantity.

Verdict?

  1. We recommend publishing 2-4 high-quality posts per week.
  2. We recommend quality over quantity. Quality posts will drive steady traffic for years.
